(Israel, 2006, 55 minutes Hebrew & Arabic with English subtitles Directors: Tomer Heymann & Barak Heymann)
Bridge Over the Wadi documents a journey of Israeli parents, Arab and Jewish, who establish a bi-national and bi-lingual school in the Arab Ara village. The film is a primer, through the eyes of children, about the Arab-Israeli conflict – a struggle, a Jewish parent explains to his daughter, in which “both sides are right.” Bridge Over the Wadi offers hope while facing up to the intractability of the conflict.
