37th Annual JCC Photo Show to Open April 25th

March 22, 2007 (Beachwood, Ohio) – Winners will be recognized and prizes awarded at the Opening Reception for the Jewish Community Center of Cleveland’s 37th Annual Photography Show on Monday, April 25th, 2007, 7:30 p.m., at the Mandel JCC, 26001 South Woodland Road, Beachwood. The show was juried by Abe Frajndlich, freelance art, magazine and commercial photographer whose work is among many permanent art collections including locally at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Progressive Corporation and Baker & Hostetler.  Over 550 photographs were submitted from 117 photographers, including professional photographers, amateurs and students as young as four and five.

Best in Black and White

Best in Color
Cape Cod Eastham Abe Chasin, Mayfield Heights

Honorable Mention in Jewish Theme
Burning Bush II Gabe Schaffer, University Heights

The exhibition, which includes 75 photos from 55 photographers, will be on display at the Mandel JCC April 25 through June 3, and is free and open to the public during building hours. Many of the works are available for purchase.
